Our Work

Turfing

This area of garden had become unusable due to the existing lawn having been overrun with moss, weeds, and soil. We prepared the area using a Rotavator to break up all the existing surface matter, followed by a Cultivator to break it up further and till the topsoil, before levelling off the topsoil and laying new turf over an area of 100m2

Hard Landscaping

The existing garden had a large sloped banking meaning much of the space was unusable. Having removed over 80 tonnes of spoil, we constructed an engineered retaining wall clad with rough sawn treated timber to bring a different texture and colour into the mix. The main patio area was laid in natural stone grey paving stones, and we added an additional patio on the top terrace with a raised border also formed with natural stone paving stones, before preparing and seeding a new lawn area

Terraced Patio

This terraced patio on The Grove in Ilkley was the recipient of an award from the Ilkley Civic Society for its consideration of the existing surrounding architecture and quality of finish. We used Raj blend natural stone flags, sawn stone copings, aged walling stone and provided the required enclosed aspect through steel estate railings

Walling & Fencing

This garden backed directly onto a sloped field which created problems with surface water logging. Through the design of this engineered retaining wall, we were able to separate the garden from the field enough to install significant land drainage, with the addition of a fence giving the Client’s peace of mind when their kids were outside playing

Hard Landscaping

Front yards can often be of little use, but this transformation provided great balance between hard and soft elements of the garden through random style natural stone paving, decorative gravel borders for drainage, and raised borders edged with natural sandstone to give practical and interesting space for plating

Hard & Soft Landscaping

The Client’s had recently moved into this new build home and needed to bring some much-needed character to the empty garden space. In keeping with the clean, modern feel of the interior of the home, we laid porcelain pavers to create new patio areas and paths, edged with Saxon style red brick and decorative gravel. We then created raised borders round the garden that changed shape and height to break up the otherwise uniform lines and allow for an interesting array of planting to be carried out
